Germans show interest in streaming latest cinema releases

Almost three quarters (72%) of Germans would be interested in streaming the latest films as soon as they are released in cinemas, according to a survey conducted for ICT industry group Bitkom. The research found that 8 in 10 (79%) internet users in Germany stream videos online, either through video portals such as YouTube, media libraries of German broadcasters or on-demand services such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video. It also found that one quarter (25%) of internet users download videos.
