Germany celebrates 1 year digital test site on A9 highway

Germany's Digital Infrastructure Minister Alexander Dobrindt celebrates the first year of the digital test site on the A9 motorway in Bavaria. The test site is used by multiple companies including car manufacturers, telecom operators and telecom equipment manufacturers for autonomous driving car tests as well as so-called truck platoons with the first truck guiding all trucks behind it. The test site is now also equipped with state of the art mobile network technology to enable 5G-based car to car communications.
