Germany falling behind in international digitisation rankings - study

Germany is falling behind in the international rankings for innovation and digitisation, according to an annual study by research institutes Fraunhofer ISI and ZEW for the Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften and business group BDI. While it remains among the top five countries for innovation, Germany scored poorly on the digitisation indicator, in 17th place out of the 35 countries surveyed.
