Germany has lowest proximity mobile payment take-up in W Europe - research

Take-up of proximity mobile payments in Western Europe has been slow, with Germany having the lowest usage rates in the EU-5, according to the latest research from eMarketer. However, adoption rates could be helped by the launch of Google Pay in June and the imminent launch of Apple Pay in Germany.
