Germany per-capita IT and telecom spend up 2% in 2017

Spending on IT and telecommunications in Germany increased 2 percent in 2017 to reach a total of EUR 1,560 per inhabitant, according to report by the European Information Technology Observatory (EITO), distributed by German industry association Bitkom. This puts Germany in line with the EU average, as growth rates in IT and telecoms expenditures across 26 other EU states were likewise 2 percent last year. Per-capita expenditures in the EU were EUR 1,358 on average, however.
