G.fast chipset maker Sckipio raises USD 17 mln

Sckipio Technologies, a developer of G.fast modem chipsets, announced it has raised USD 17 million in a Series B round led by Pitango Venture Capital and combined with follow-on investment from the original Series A investors Gemini Israel Ventures, Genesis Partners, Amiti Ventures and Aviv Ventures. This follows an initial investment of USD 10 million in the Israel-based company. Pitango will take a seat on the Sckipio board of directors. The additional investment will help the company accelerate development and scale production. The news comes the same day the ITU approved the final G.fast
