Ghana orders fresh SIM registration after suspected fraud

The Ghanaian government has ordered the mobile network operators to start registering SIM cards afresh after alleged fraudulent activities around the scheme. It said fake identify cards have been used. Registration was completed three years ago. ICT Minister Edward Boamah said re-registration must be done only if the National Identification Authority completed the issuance of the National ID Cards, CAJ News reported.
