Ghanaian minister says SIM card re-registration will last 7 months

Ghana's minister for communications and digitisation, Ursula Owusu-Ekuful said the government's quest to re-register all SIM cards in the country will take seven months, from June to December. All SIM card owners need to re-register or lose their cards for life. She said this had been agreed by all Mobile Network Operators (MNOs) at a meeting.
