Gigabit speeds extended to 220,000 North Islanders

New Zealand's North Island local fibre companies, namely Ultrafast Fibre Limited and Northpower Fibre, have confirmed that their one Gigabit (1Gbps) residential Ultra-Fast Broadband (UFB) product became available to broadband consumers in their regions from 1 October. Retail service providers can now sell the Gigabit Fibre plan to all residential customers.
