Gigaset goes back in the black in H1

Gigaset said it went back in the black in the first half, with its profit before tax reaching EUR 0.6 million after a loss of 9.3 million the year before. The EBIT also improved, by EUR 16.7 million to EUR 1.4 million. The gross profit margin rose despite falling revenue, on the back of price increases and stronger sales from higher-margin products. As a result of the strong figures, the company has raised its guidance, saying it now expects a positive profit before tax for the whole year, and an EBITDA of EUR 20 million.
