Gilat appoints new head for its Russian branch

Israel-based company GIlat Satellite Networks has appointed Denis Stafeyev the new CEO of Russia-based subsidiary Gilat Satellite Networks Eurasia, reports Comnews.ru. The CEO's main task will be to strengthen the position of Gilat on the Russian market for satellite telecom equipment, especially regardign new broadband projects over the Ka-band. 

Stafeyev succeeds Alexander Klimov, who died during an accident on 16 January.

Stafeyev has worked in managing positions at various companies. From 2013 to 2015, he was the the CEO of RTComm, a subsidiary of national operator Rostelecom.
