Gilat's ESA terminal demonstrates first in-flight operation on commercial aircraft

Gilat Satellite Networks has announced that Gilat's In-Flight Connectivity (IFC) Electronically Steered Antenna (ESA) is the first ever to operate during a flight on a commercial aircraft. This was achieved on board Honeywell's Boeing 757 test aircraft. Gilat's ESA terminal was operating over Ka-band capacity on Telesat's Telstar 19 Vantage High Throughput Satellite (HTS).
