Global broadband subs up 1.4% sequentially in Q3 2015

Fixed broadband subscribers 1.36 percent in Q3 2015 rose compared to Q2 2015 to under 740 million, according to a research by Point-topic. In fact, it was the second highest in the last six quarters, with just Q1 2014 being an exception. This quarter the growth was driven mostly by parts of Asia, Africa and Latin America. For the second quarter in a row fibre continues to dominate as the main broadband access technology, having exceeded the number of copper subscribers globally. China continues to be the main diver behind the significant FTTH growth, though the Americas also saw FTTH
