Global broadband subscriptions increase 1.1% in Q4

The number of global broadband subscriptions increased by 1.1 percent in the last quarter of 2014 to a total 714 million at year-end, according to Point Topic. Growth slowed for a third consecutive quarter, after reaching 1.2 percent in Q3 2014. The market researcher noted that the US outperformed China in terms of net subscriber additions in the quarter, a reversal of the situation in the previous quarter.
