Global communications revenue up 1.5% in 2014 - Ofcom

Global communications sector (telecoms, TV, postal and radio) revenue was GBP 1.19 trillion in 2014, up 1.5 percent from 2013, according to research by UK regulator Ofcom. Global TV industries had the largest increase in revenue in 2014, up by GBP 12 billion (5%) to GBP 244 billion. Telecoms revenue, the largest group, registered slow growth of 0.5 percent in 2014 to reach GBP 846 billion. UK communications sector revenues were the fifth highest of sampled countries and the second highest in Europe.
