Tuesday 21 January 2020 | 11:30 CET | News
Worldwide shipments of devices will total 2.16 billion units in 2020, an increase of 0.9 percent from 2019, according to data from Gartner. In 2019, global shipments of devices totaled 2.15 billion units. This modest recovery of the market will be boosted by the take-up 5G mobile phones, whose market share will lift to 43 percent in 2022 from 12 percent this year. The worldwide mobile phone market is on course to grow by 1.7 percent in 2020, the market researcher predicts.
