Global Eagle agrees debt-for-equity swap

In-flight and at-sea connectivity provider Global Eagle Entertainment has agreed a debt-for-equity swap, after seeing a sharp fall-off in business due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Holders of 90 percent of its senior term loans, led by a number of private equity companies, have agreed to acquire most of the company's assets for USD 675 million.
