Global fixed broadband connections advance 2.1% in Q4 to nearly 932 mln

The number of fixed broadband subscribers worldwide grew by 2.10 percent in the fourth quarter of 2017 to 931.6 million at the end of the year, according to the latest statistics from Point Topic. The quarterly growth rate slowed slightly from 2.47 percent in Q3 2017. Copper connections continued to decline, down by 6 percent on an annual basis, while FTTH connections rose 28 percent over the year.
