Wednesday 12 December 2018 | 11:08 CET | News
The number of fixed broadband subscribers worldwide is set to reach 1.2 billion at the end of 2025, up from 1 billion at the end of Q3 2018, according to a report from Point Topic. Some 89 percent of the fixed broadband subscribers will be in the top 30 broadband markets, said the report, adding that the imminent launch of 5G services will impact fixed broadband take-up around the globe, although the full extent of that impact won't be clear for another 12 to 18 months.
