Global IT spending to recover this yuear, rising 6.2% to USD 3.9 trillion - Gartner

After a decline of 3.2 percent in 2020, worldwide IT spending is expected to increase 6.2 percent year-on-year this year to USD 3.9 trillion, according to the latest study from Garter. Spending last year was prioritized to "mission-critical" only tech and services last year during the initial stages of the pandemic, slowing down the whole process. Now, companies have a "balancing act to perform," Gartner said, between saving cash and expanding IT.
