Global semiconductor revenue to dip 0.9% lower in 2020 - study

Thursday 9 April 2020 | 13:03 CET | News
Amid the coronavirus pandemic, global semiconductor revenues are now expected to fall 0.9 percent this year, according to the latest study from Gartner. The earlier forecast had been for growth of 12.5 percent. Gartner said the expected steep decline will be offset by growth in memory. The new guidance is now for 2020 revenues of USD 415.4 billion, down by USD 55 billion from the previous forecast, and compared to 419.1 billion the year before. Non-memory will drop 6.1 percent while memory should lift 13.9 percent.
