Global spend on broadband access equipment to rebound end this year or next year - Dell'Oro

Wednesday 29 July 2020 | 14:21 CET | News
Global spending on broadband access equipment and customer-premises equipment (CPE) is expected to fall 7 percent this year to USD 11.4 billion, before increasing 5 percent in 2021, according to the latest study from Dell'Oro. The research bureau had forecast a 5 percent decline for 2020 but lowered its guidance amid the coronavirus pandemic. However, it has increased its five-year CAGR forecast, for 2019-2024 to minus 0.9 percent from minus 2 percent, as service providers look to expand capacity amid stay at home orders for work and school.
