Global tablet sales fall 10% to 46.5 mln units in Q1

The global tablet market declined 10 percent in a year to 46.5 million units in the first quarter, according to Strategy Analytics. Apple iPad sales declined 19 percent to 10.3 million units for a 22.1 percent market share. Samsung tablet sales fell 26 percent to 6.5 million units (14% share). Lenovo's sales fell 15 percent to 2.1 million units (4.6). Huawei stood out by entering the top-5 ranking as the only vendor to have improved sales, up 66 percent to 2.1 million units (4.5%).
