Globalstar lifts revenues 12%, reaches 700,000 subscriber mark in Q2

Globalstar said the company reached over 700,000 total subscribers for its satellite network in June, lifting revenues in the second quarter by 12 percent to USD 28.12 million, also boosted by a higher ARPU. The increase at service revenue was partially offset by a decrease at subscriber equipment sales. The net result went to a loss of USD 97.7 million from a gain the year earlier of 14.1 million, on the back of non-cash derivative losses mainly from the recent increase in the company's stock price.
