Globalstar releases M2M/IoT satellite device for tracking movable assets

Globalstar Europe Satellite Services, part of Globalstar, launched its newest M2M/IoT satellite device, the SmartOne Solar. SmartOne Solar is an IoT device that provides remote monitoring and tracking over the Globalstar satellite network. It can be used to remotely monitor and track fixed and movable assets such as rail tank cars, containers, heavy equipment and vehicle fleets, the company said in a press release. Globalstar added that this may be the first solar powered satellite enabled asset tracker.
