Globe Telecom sees 2% Q1 revenue growth on limited impact of Covid-19, cuts cash dividend payout

Tuesday 5 May 2020 | 11:52 CET | News
Philippines operator Globe Telecom posted service revenues for the first three months of 2020 of PHP 36.9 billion, which represents a 2 percent increase from PHP 36 billion a year ago given the limited impact of COVID-19 to operations during the period covered. According to Globe, data revenues, which now account for 75 percent of total service revenues (versus 69 percent last year), remained the main driver for revenue growth, given the greater customer demand for online video entertainment and internet connectivity.
