GlobeNet on target for July launch of Argentina subsea cable

Wholesale data network services provider GlobeNet announced that it's in the final stages of implementation of its new subsea cable system to Argentina, with the ready for service date set for July. The 2,500 km cable system, called 'Malbec', will link the Brazilian cities of Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo to Buenos Aires, connecting the major data centres and interconnection facilities through terrestrial diverse paths and metro networks. It will also be fully integrated into GlobeNet's regional network, offering connectivity between the Southern Cone and the rest of the company's network to
