Globetouch, Virtuosys enter partnership

Globetouch and Virtuosys entered into a partnership to co-develop new cloud-connected edge computing devices and applications. Both companies made the announcement during Mobile World Congress Shanghai 2017. Together, the companies will develop a software SIM (soft Sim) mobile connected and cloud-managed edge computing device and edge apps, supporting verticals such as connected vehicles, autonomous driving and retail payments. The partners said the resulting innovation will be the first international out of box mobile connectivity platform offering the soft SIM function, as well as edge
