Gogo announces HTS-based service for business flights

Wednesday 20 September 2017 | 11:10 CET | News
Inflight connectivity provider Gogo has announced the upcoming launch of a new High Throughput Satellite (HTS) service aimed at business aviation. The new service will use Gogo's existing Ku-band satellite network, which currently provides bandwidth for over 550 commercial aviation aircraft across 10 airlines worldwide. The company said the additional HTS capacity will boost the performance of both its new business aviation Ku-band service and its commercial aviation network, enabling streaming-class internet from takeoff to landing.
