Google appoints head for Google+'s Photos and Streams

Google's Bradley Horowitz confirmed he will be running Google's Photos and Streams products. Horowitz, the VP of Product, made the announcement on a blog post. He succeeds David Besbris, who became head of Google+ in April 2014 after the departure of Vic Gundotra. Recode noted that Google did not immediately respond about what will happen to Besbris. The move means Google is dividing Google+ into Photos and Streams, with the Hangouts communications service expected to stand alone.
