Google boosts investment in Portugal

Almost a year after it was announced that Google would install an international operations centre for suppliers in Portugal, the technology company is boosting its presence in the country. Daily Expresso has reported that Google has added 6,000 square meters to the 7,000 square metres it already has in Lagoas Park, in Oeiras, where it intends to employ another 800 people, besides the 530 already working there. Although Google itself has made no comment, the Secretary of State for Internationalisation, Eurico Brilhante Dias, confirms this doubling of the company's investment.
