Google cars collected IM conversations, SSID data in Spain

Google Street View cars collected personal data of users in Spain, including Messenger conversations, SSID data and MAC addresses, according to a report in Spanish daily El Mundo. A document from Spain's data protection agency, AEPD, reveals that in addition to images, Google Street View cars also collected sensitive data such as first names and even two brief conversations on the Microsoft Messenger instant messaging service.
