Google, ESET add anti-virus tools to Chrome for Windows

Google has teamed up with security specialist ESET to launch a new malware scanner and cleaner for Google Chrome as part of the Chrome Cleanup tool. The revamped tool now automatically removes harmful software with the press of a button and alerts Chrome users to potential threats when it detects unwanted software. ESET said Chrome Cleanup operates in the background, without visibility or interruptions to the user, deleting the software and notifying the user once the cleanup has been successfully completed.
