Google expands collaboration with child protection NGO

Google is expanding its collaboration with Telefono Azzurro, one of Italy's main child protection NGOs, after donating a Google Search Appliance last year to help the NGO improve information retrieval on its internal network and make it easier to search on its public website. On Safer Internet Day 2012, 7 February, Google announced that Telefono Azzuro will share its Search Appliance with all of the members of Missing Children Europe (MCE), the federation of national NGOs responsible for the European 116.000 phone hotline, who will use Google's search technology on their public websites.
