Google gets over 140,000 European requests to remove links

Google said it has received in Europe more than 142,000 requests to remove links to more than 490,000 web pages from Google Search results since its request form went live on 29 May. The company revealed the data for European requests to remove information from search results in its Transparency Report. The requests were received after the Court of Justice of the EU ruling on 13 May, which established a "right to be forgotten" in search results. The most removal requests were received from France, Germany, the UK, Spain, and Italy. Google also provided some data about the domains that appear
