Friday 23 May 2014 | 09:47 CET | News
Google has launched its Google Play Newsstand app in France and Germany. The app is already available in the US, UK, Australia and Italy. Les Echos reports that it offers around 60 French titles, mainly magazines, and around 100 international newspapers that can be bought as single issues or subscriptions of one month or one year. Some titles are offered at very attractive prices at launch, for example the magazine Le Point sells for EUR 0.99, compared to EUR 3.80 for the paper version. Google Play Newsstand can be used on smartphones, tablets and PCs.
