Google pledges complaints logging system within 2 weeks

Google has pledged to quickly offer German internet users a mechanism to request the removal of internet links about them from its search engine, reports the Wall Street Journal. In an e-mail, Ulrich Kuehn, deputy commissioner for Hamburg's data-protection authority, said the company had promised to offer a process for logging complaints within the next two weeks. This comes after the EU Court of Justice ruled that users have a right to removals.
