Google publishes API, specifications for Google Glass

Google has published an API and technical specifications for its Google Glass augmented reality glasses, which it has started to send to 4,000 product testers chosen through an online competition. The API allows developers to build web-based services, called Glassware, that interact with Google Glass over a cloud-based API which does not require running code on Glass. Developers have been told that Google Glass apps cannot use any advertising.
