Google rolls out updated ad settings

Google has followed its recent update of its privacy policy by introducing an updated user ad settings page designed to meet demands for greater transparency and control. The company said the revamped Ad Settings page will make it easier for users to understand why they are targeted with certain ads and allow them to customise how they receive the ads. The company is also making the "why this ad?" feature available to all ads on its platforms, including YouTube, Google Play, Gmail, Maps and Search, as well as "almost all of the websites and apps that partner with us to show ads".
