Google Sites leads US core search market in October

Google Sites led the US explicit core search market in October with 66.9 percent market share, followed by Microsoft Sites with 18.1 percent (up 0.1%) and Yahoo! Sites with 11.1 percent, according to a new report from ComScore. Ask Network accounted for 2.6 percent (up 0.1%) of explicit core searches, followed by AOL with 1.3 percent. During the month of October, 19.3 billion explicit core searches were conducted, with Google Sites ranking first with 12.9 billion (up 4%). Microsoft Sites ranked second with 3.5 billion searches (up 4%), followed by Yahoo! Sites with 2.2 billion (up 2%), Ask
