Google, Yahoo ask to publish clearer FISA request data

Google has written to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to allow it to publish the number of FISA requests it receives without having to combine the figures with non-confidential criminal court request data. In an open letter, Yahoo also called for this increased level of transparency.
