Govt superfast broadband scheme reaches over 3 mln premises

Wednesday 12 August 2015 | 09:32 CET | News
The UK Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) confirmed that more than 3 million homes and businesses have been reached by the government's nationwide roll-out of superfast broadband. The programme is delivering superfast access to properties not covered by existing commercial networks and is on track to take superfast access to 95 percent of the UK by 2017. More than 4 in 5 UK homes and businesses already have access to superfast speeds, and the roll-out is currently reaching an additional 40,000 premises each week.
