Grameenphone: MNP system to take time

Bangladeshi mobile operator Grameenphone says it is almost impossible to establish a mobile number portability (MNP) system within twelve months. The Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) approved MNP earlier this month and sent a draft guideline on MNP to all operators and told them to finalise it within a month. The guideline says process specifications will take two months and setting up equipment will take another three months. Operators will also be given six months to test the system.
