Grameenphone teams up with ISPs for fixed Wimax service

Bangladeshi mobile operator Grameenphone will partner with two ISPs to launch fixed Wimax services. Grameenphone is working with Agni Systems and ADN Telecom, which hold 3.5 GHz spectrum, to deliver the services branded "go broadband". "We are going to form a partnership with two ISPs regarding fixed Wimax, where we use common brand, share network and customer care," the Dhaka Tribune quotes a company official as saying. Agni Systems says the dongle-based internet service will be launched within five or six months. Agni System further said that network equipment for the BDT 150 million
