GSMA, CTIA to hold joint Americas world congress in 2017

The GSMA has announced a partnership with US mobile industry lobby group CTIA to set up a new trade event starting next year in the US. The "GSMA Mobile World Congress Americas, in partnership with CTIA" will take place on 12-14 September 2017 in San Francisco. The two bodies will be equal partners in the event, with the GSMA taking the lead on production and management. In a joint statement the organisations said this year's CTIA Super Mobility event, to be held in Las Vegas from 07-09 September, will be the last, although the CTIA will continue to develop its policy-focused educational
