GSMA to keep MWC in Barcelona for at least two more years

The GSMA Mobile World Congress will stay in Barcelona at least until 2012, following the signing of an agreement by Catalonia's innovation minister, Josep Huguet, and the CEO of GSMA's conference division, John Hoffman, EFE reports. Huguet said the regional government hoped that the fair would continue to be held in Barcelona beyond 2012. The agreement sets out collaboration initiatives for the MWC to strengthen Barcelona and Calatonia's position as a "reference for innovation" in Southern Europe. The regional government has made commitments to collaborate in areas of sustainable development,
