GTA joins consortium to deploy SEA-US undersea cable system

A consortium of seven telecommunications companies which includes Guam telecom provider GTA, has signed a contract with NEC to develop a 15,000-Km trans-Pacific underwater cable system. The consortium, in addition to GTA, includes PT. Telekomunikasi Indonesia International (Telin), Globe Telecom, RAM Telecom International (RTI), Hawaiian Telcom, GTI Corporation (a member of the Globe Telecom group of companies), and Telkom USA.
