GT&T announces service disruption due to cable theft

The Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) announced that part of its cable infrastructure along the East Coast of Demerara was vandalised. The operator said that approximately 70 feet of the cable was cut and removed, which resulted in the disruption of voice and data service to 900 customers in Atlantic Gardens, Montrose, Le Ressouvenir and Happy Acres.
