Guinea to adopt nine-digit numbering on 31 March

Monday 11 February 2013 | 10:00 CET | News
Guinea will change to a nine-digit numbering system on 31 March, announced telecom regulator ARPT. Director General Moustpha Mamy Diaby said the move from eight to nine digits was necessary because the current numbering plan was meeting its capacity limits at a time of rapid growth in networks, services and users. Sotelgui customers will add the prefix 60, Orange 62, Intercel 63, Cellcom 65 and MTN-Areeba 66.
