Hadopi fights for its budget

French anti-piracy authority Hadopi is fighting to maintain its budget, Les Echos reports. The head of the body's committee on copyright protection, Mireille Imbert-Quaretta, said that Hadopi would take part in the cutbacks, like all government agencies, but it is an independent authority which cannot be eliminated or starved of resources by the ministry of culture as it was established by a parliamentary act.
